Ammarnäs Hembygdsgård
Ammarnäs Hembygdsgård
Built in 1901 and has functioned as a residential building, post office, school, hairdresser, police station, telecommunication station, doctor's office and meeting room in various contexts. It is beautifully located on the so-called Hemnäset where the Vindelälven and Tjulån meet.
Hembygdsgården is managed by Ammarnäs Hembygdsförening and is the district's museum and an appreciated meeting place for the village's locals.

During the summer, you can buy coffee and freshly baked waffles and the members of the Hembygds association guide and tell in the exhibition of old utensils and photographs. Every year in July, Ammarnäs local days are celebrated here with an auction, pentathlon and musical entertainment. A festive event where everyone is welcome. Hembygdsföreningen also arranges Pärfestivalen and Hembygdsgården's day.
